Protect Your Digital Product Sales With the Digital Repo Man

Do you have any clue how may people will share your digital product after they purchase it from you? The survey says over 50% of your customers are giving away a copy of your product to a friend. So if you sell 1,000 copies there are most likely another 500 copies out there that you did not receive any payment for.

As you may or may not know, there is a problem going on online. Everyday, there are gutless cowards that think it’s OK to freely distribute digital products on the ‘Net.

Now I am not going to reveal the mechanisms by which these lowlifes freely distribute ebooks and software on the net. But it is happening everyday…even as I write this sentence!

Sharing with a friend is one thing but there are also others who have their hands in your pocket. Some search for your download page to avoid purchasing it from you. And some will even take your product and sell it as their own and then there is my personal most anoying -
Lemme tell you…there’s nothing that ticks me off more than “serial refunders”.

You know who I’m talking about. These are people that make it a habit to buy digital products…only to request an immediate refund literally MINUTES later.

Obviously, there is no way they could have gone through the product in the 8 minutes it took for them to request a refund.

Heck, I recently read a stat that said that most people who refund a product KNOW they are going to request a refund before they buy!

Isn’t that nuts?

Most of the time, there’s nothing you can do about it when you’re selling digital products. I mean, this isn’t like a brick-and-mortar store where you have to return
the physical product before the refund is issued.

Digital products satisfy the need of the customer to ‘get it NOW”! But, there are a LOT of freeloaders who abuse the system and think it’s OK to use the electronic marketplace as a ‘virtual library’.

Anyway, I thought to myself, “Well, that’s just the cost of doing business.” That is, until I discovered a new service that stops these lowlifes dead in their tracks.

You can read more about it here:

The service is called DigitalRepoMan and it automatically shuts down access to a digital product after a refund is issued.

What’s cool about this service is that it limits usage of a digital product based on a computer’s unique “MAC Address”. In other words, it is not IP based…which can
easily be hacked.

In layman’s terms, if someone requests a refund, the digital product is no longer usable…just as if it was returned to the store!

So I suggest you check out:

…and tell serial refunders to take a hike!
