Our mission in this blog is to provide resources and information for those who would like to learn how to earn a living from home.

Lets start from the beginning it is important to setup an office area and set a schedule, just as if you were going off to work an outside job. This area should be isolated from the distractions of home like kids, animals. wives/husbands. television etc. You need to set a schedule for yourself and maintain regular working hours.

My office is in the “mudroom” this is a room outside of the house which is where the outside front door is. Not the perfect location since anyone coming or going passes through. And there is no climate control. But it keeps me away from the distractions of everyday life in the house. I go in there by 9:00 each day and work until 6:00 with an hour off for lunch. Establishing a routine is important, if you don’t treat your home business like a real business, other people won’t take you seriously either.

Your computer is your most important business asset after yourself. Adware Spyware and Virus are all really big problems these days. NEVER click on a link in an email unless you know for sure who sent it and why. A popular way to infect computers right now is to have little teaser text about something and a link to go to a website. Once you get to the website it will often install spyware adware or a trojan without you doing anything other than going to that web address.
